This year has and is seeing many changes going on. Many individuals, businesses and entities are striving the innovate and stay relevant within this ever competitive environment. Many are feeling the crunch of many creatives and advancing technologies. For the entrepreneur and small business, the fear of not getting enough done is a daunting and oppressing one. The one thing that we offer that cannot be readily replaced is…support. We’re here to provide artistic and creative support and resources to helping those who have little tine or resources to getting their artistic and creative projects done. WE WANT TO SEE YOU PROGRESS. WE WANT TO SEE YOU SUCCEED! WE WANT YOU TO WIN!

While the 14th Week of 2024 marked the beginning of the DESIGN Quarter, we’re finally moving forward full swing in this 16th Week with works to show! This week we’ll be continuing to transition and integrate Art concepts into Design…but we’ll also be focusing on developing Artistic works incorporating Design aesthetics.

THE MOTIVATION BOOK

Black and Brown, African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture know the different and varying issues of existing in America. Their experiences are unique and—unfortunately—are wrought by individuals, communities, structures and systems that go back beyond the conception of the American colonies. What it means to find their way back from all that was taken from them, diminished out of them, removed, oppressed, repressed and suppressed about them—finding their way out of dysfunction takes people and individuals who share their unique and sophisticated experiences.

As an Artist, Designer and Photographer—who operates also as an Entrepreneur—anchored within strong individualized private Spiritual Beliefs, I believe in the necessities of moving beyond our issues in ways and methods that do not directly conform to the structures that continue to distract, diminish or destroy us today. Thru my creativity and artistry, I believe in a Spiritual approach to addressing Self-Identity, Reality Shifting, Energy Management and Adaptation Methods as they all contribute to Manifestation; Goal and Milestone Attainment. It’s been my continued experience that Perspective, Paradigm, Principle, and Priority Management go the way of aligning who we are with the world that stands before us and yet is ever-evolving around us.

We as an operation are engaged in projects that are directed in the positive impact of select segments of PoC communities and cultures. We believe that our Art, Design, Photography and other creative works must speak an innovative yet relative language to do this. Thru the facets of what we do, we’re further developing THE MOTIVATION BOOK. This private publication serves to inform and open doors the doors to wisdom, science, and other platforms necessary to aligning individuals state of mind, paradigms and consciousness with their desires to ambitiously and successfully manifest them into reality. A key aspect in establishing THE CIRCLE—and associated with The NūHUMAN and F A T H E R ™ Projects—our intention is to help People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture move beyond the issues and hidden barriers to their own existence and progress within the “Western Civilized Worlds”. Even as we Coach and provide Consultation with others, we act in the belief of the Future while accepting the present, reality, dimension, possibility, opportunity and…the past of the world. Thru creativity, we can contextualize these things to conceptualize what may come next. We believe in people being able to create and recreate their worlds.

Accept the Universe. Accept what it is for you and what it is as a construct for everyone and everything else around you because if nothing else, the most common thread to everything is that we all exist within it…and then beyond.

PARADIGM - THE WORLD

One of the greatest aspects of power is in being able to define. What it is to define is to apply a state of meaning and being established by a particular idea, concept or train of thought. To be able to define first is essential. To be able to be known, acknowledge, accepted and recognized as being the one to define is crucial and foundational. You become the Authority. Definition further stakes claim over the world; Ownership. Definition and Ownership allow for controlling what and how other perceive the world and themselves within it. To be effective, you must be—or seem to be—the one of Authority.

While we now see more and more the truer stories that have led us to where we are, who we are and what we are within modern society, what has led to an erosion—a weathering of values and principles that have sustained civility and progressiveness has been the unavoidable products of slavery and systematic methods of oppression, repression and suppression. People have fallen victim to situations and circumstances designed, coordinated and orchestrated by individuals and entities that operate explicitly to see gains and profit at their expense. We want to help fix some of the problems that we see in our own communities. We begin little and small to be impactful in larger ways.

We will be hosting a talk session pertaining the ideals and principles needed and necessary for this private publication. This talk session will be invite only and will include select individuals who are adequate and equipped to delve into these topics. Stay tuned!

CULTIVATING A NEW SUBSIDIARY PROJECT PLAN FOR THIS PROJECT; THE BLACK BEAUTY EXPERIENCE!

We’re updating the F V K ™ to include the showcase and review of Beauty of Black Women. We believe that it has gotten lost—the idea and image of Black Women—in media and other spaces where Black Women like so many others have been pushed down in favor of other Ethnicities and Cultures. Our goal is to continue to showcase Beauty as well as the Sexiness and Sensual Allure of Black Women but with a specific targeting of Black and Brown Skin.While we show appreciation and respect to some others already within the limelight of public view, we’re also looking to showcase and appreciate others more local to our communities within the DC Area.

While we’re busy developing new Artwork during the ARTS Quarter, we’re still committed to developing our other projects. The FATHER™ PROJECT! We’re developing new text and image products that help to convey the much needed messages of and for Fathers within this turbulent modern world.

This imagery is custom made for The FATHER™ PROJECT Apparel and other associated products featured at LIAM IAN DESIGN. The selection is made to represent and appreciate Fathers with a specific focus on Black and Brown Fathers, Manhood and Masculinity within Fatherhood and other societal male parenting dynamics and categories. As the ideas and concepts of manhood are forced to evolve and innovate, we see there is still a place for Fathers to exist. Our imagery stems from the various discussions and other sources of impactful information that indicate needed change and acceptance of who Black and Brown and all other Fathers are within the modern world.

CHANGING because it’s what’s being demanded! Don’t just change clothes, brands, colors and your idea of “cool”. Change the whole gawd damn thing! That’s not what they’re counting on!

This needs to be a place of disruption. There needs to be a space for disruption. In being a free Black Man, everyday seems to feel like an experiment—a GRAND experiment. The experiment is to survive and maintain ones sanity within maintaining the identity because we were never meant to survive. Not by the measurements of those they call the founders of the American country by White European settlers.

Incorporating the most previous Digital Art Piece; “LOOKING THRU FROM THE OTHER SIDE”, this piece includes Design text elements to spell out the actual message. The experiment is to survive and maintain ones sanity while knowing and understanding that there are many things to question as to improve upon who we are and what we do. Everything that we are has been hijacked. Commercialism for capitalism has provided a means for People of Color—specifically Black Men of Color—to be met and confronted with many types of societal dysfunction. How Black Men are perceived and why stand at the forefront as products and responses to slavery and post-slavery issues exacerbated by technology and the associated social media platforms. As a part of “The Dichotomy of…”, this piece embodies thoughts and ideas we have about the Black, Brown and African American issues. There is a need for a new identity and understanding of “Black”. In being Black, we are sophisticatedly complex requiring caution with care.

Like so many things around us, the term “Black” and Black People are deserving of a revision and revitalization. Where it is quite obvious that Black and Brown communities see tremendous forms of dysfunction, this is where a clear and blatant revision needs to be addressed. In the art. In the music. In the conversations and banter. We see where the values, principles and priorities originate, reside and become action.

We need to change how we see things. We need to change how we are informed of this world. We need to change how we see and are informed of ourselves and our relative positions to everything else. We need broader talk and social groups and areas of concern. We need greater ways of expressing ourselves while still maintaining a reserve and discipline that acts with a priority of looking out for each other rather than to sacrifice. Change needs to happen. Change needs to happen because—we believe—People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture are heralds and harbingers of Change. We are Change…itself.

This piece was inspired by some other Abstract Artworks. Done as a digital piece due to the ease and availability of current technological resources, effort was nonetheless added to cultivate this depiction. Using multiple brushes and unique colors, this piece has helped to springboard a renewed interest and enthusiasm for Abstract Art especially within current modern and over-commercialized times. This work is not to serve as a digital download but more a custom piece only available thru Liam Ian himself for those who truly can respect and understand the art.

“LOOKING THRU FROM THE OTHER SIDE”

While we’re continuing to learn and play around with Ai Art Generators, we’re doing things the old fashioned way. After all, we are operating within our ARTS Quarter!

“LOOKING THRU FROM THE OTHER SIDE” continues the journey to symbolize the light and darkness that resides within me and the life for which I’ve had and continue to live. As we all have to operate within the dark sometimes, we can peak thru to see the other side. Sometimes that peaking thru is like viewing a world that is familiar and then not. A simple piece, it continues to convey what and how I see. The lighter and the darker while the lighter still seems dimmed or affected by the scattering of darkness. This is the universe as I’ve come to know it; not entirely light and good filled with dark spots like sadness, loneliness, loss, fear and hatred…yet there to give way to those aspects that are more…positive, affirming and reinforcing. Within the dark…is everything. From the dark…comes…everything. From the dark even comes the light.

*Within us, there are always more than one side to what exist. There’s often more to the picture and so we must strive to traverse the different sides as necessary. Even with more than one side, there’s also that space in between where things are not so clear or discernible. This is where we must trust the flows that push us from one to another. We must strive to be patient and observe—be willing to experience rather than attempt to see, hear, or feel directly. We should keep ourselves open to the greater forces that affect all that is around us rather than giving and applying definition to make sense of it all.

THE NūHUMAN PROJECT : THE NūHUMAN FOUNDATION

As we further look into ways of being a positive impact and influence within our local and broader communities, we’re led to develop The NūHUMAN Project and Foundation.

The SuperWomen and Men of this world are not Caucasians. They are unique individuals who have endured, survived and progressed thru trial and tribulation born by natural incident and/or human intention. The true SuperPeople are those have proven resilient while still serving a purpose benefit more than some.

Our ideas as developed and shared are to evoke a renewed sense of purpose and belonging to and thru individuals that have the potential to affect change in a more positive and promising direction for People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture within America. Our intention and hope is to assist in reforming the self-identity of what it is and means to be a Person of Color to that of much more potential into and for the future. We believe thru publications, comics, apparel and other such aesthetic items, we have the potential to create opportunity and a greater path for the next generations to become greater versions of who we are today.

As a part of the process to develop this project, we’re debuting a unique line of Artwork that caters to reinforce positive and progressive values for People of Color and the exploration of new ideas and concepts.

IDEOLOGIES OF THE NūHUMAN

Our basic concept on The NūHUMAN Project and Foundation are rooted in the belief that Art and Design can equally fuel growth and innovation within Communities of Color. We believe that the artistic communication of principles and values are the most natural combatant to what has flooded communities already. Ideas and concepts thru imagery and videography as to also influence and affect products that then influence and affect environmental aesthetics is the goal.

For a society that is oversaturated with ideas and concepts brought by immigration, there must be attention paid to the loss of focus and unified attention to African Americans and their associated communities. What it is to be African American itself needs and requires attention as to address issues that run pervasive within society as a whole. The diversity of African Americans based upon the varieties of heritage that get classified as African American is a resounding problem. Where a first generation Nigerian might have offspring with an Asian but that child born on American soil basically makes them African American. While a child of two different worlds, in America, they’ll most likely feel the affects of being lumped into one. One that has come to a point of having certain and specific identities, communal traits, stigmas and assumptions, being put into the African American community is not one that ensures success just because. While it should, it does not. Just as any other racial or ethnic group, there are key markers and identifiers that make someone easily known and accepted within their communities. African Americans have them but mixed much more sophisticated and elaborate issues and then explanations.

We believe that the dysfunctions that are a part of the African American identity have been actively as well as passively constructed thru many factors before, during and after slavery. Those factors have been ramped up and quite effective in the diminishing and detriment of those People of Color born on American soil and are still very much at play. Here are the top three principles we operate with that—thru Art development—might help to combat the issues that plague these communities now:

I. SELF-IDENTITY & ACCEPTANCE

Whether something like a page or note out of a comic book, we believe that African Americans and People of Color born of multiple heritages are the future—The Future—of the human identity. The meshing and melding of groups from around the world is eventual due to progress and success in discovery, business and commerce. We believe there is the necessity to move pass the rigid concepts that fuel bigotry and hate in favor of racial purity and the then associated pride. The hard-defining line that goes to separate (…specially as contradictory to discovery, business and commerce). This separation is to define those who are “supposedly” to be superior, better and therefore owners, founders and masters.

II. ACCEPTING THE PAST TO FUEL THE FUTURE

The future is and should be of the utmost importance in life. While the concept of the future can be altered, adapted and changed to fit particular paradigms and narratives the fact is that there is a priority to focus on the future while resisting being stuck in the past. We must accept was is and has been. We must accept it then move beyond it. Whether negative or positive, we must use the past to inform us who and where we are now to get to where we need to be for tomorrow.

III. PRIORITIZATION OF COMMONALITIES INSTEAD OF DIFFERENCES

We must move forward within our endeavors by finding, seeing, accepting and understanding the common traits we share with others instead of placing value on what uniquely makes us individual. While our individual uniqueness is important for self identity, we should act with a sense of common human experience. In the pursuit of survival, we must perceive ourselves with a sense of humility acknowledging that community should and must precedence over individuality.

We’re constantly looking for and seeking out local individuals of uniqueness and special distinction to work with. As most of the LIAM IAN Projects are generally designed to have overlapping conceptual and ideological components, we’re committed to engaging with others to help develop this project to a fruitful and beneficial completion.
