F A T H E R ™ - PROJECT UPDATE!
While we’re busy developing new Artwork during the ARTS Quarter, we’re still committed to developing our other projects. The FATHER™ PROJECT! We’re developing new text and image products that help to convey the much needed messages of and for Fathers within this turbulent modern world.
This imagery is custom made for The FATHER™ PROJECT Apparel and other associated products featured at LIAM IAN DESIGN. The selection is made to represent and appreciate Fathers with a specific focus on Black and Brown Fathers, Manhood and Masculinity within Fatherhood and other societal male parenting dynamics and categories. As the ideas and concepts of manhood are forced to evolve and innovate, we see there is still a place for Fathers to exist. Our imagery stems from the various discussions and other sources of impactful information that indicate needed change and acceptance of who Black and Brown and all other Fathers are within the modern world.

As they are the focus of just about everything we do, Art, Design and Photography are symbolic what means so much to us.
The lasting effects of products and items that influence our surroundings or that help to communicate who we are when out and about go far and beyond just consumable media and content. We believe in developing tangible products and items that can decorate a home or office and apparel that signifies the uniqueness of individuals of special progressive qualities.
With a focus on those People of Color, Ethnicity and Culture within our local Washington, DC metropolitan areas that operate with a distinguishing style, paradigm and influence on those around them, we’re positioning to develop products that go beyond just who we are as LIAM IAN LLC.
As the holiday season approaches, we’re getting products together for market. We’re providing products that meet the demands of greater and better diversity and representation. Our products engage our clients in ways the offer and invite pride and respect for Color, Ethnicity and Culture especially as to add and offer comfort and aesthetic appeal. While this is resource for us, we’d like to open things up a bit to become a resource for others.

This Product Series is to showcase the specific talents of LIAM IAN LLC and the associated Artists of the local Washington, DC areas. With pieces applied to select products, we’re developing this limited series in such a way to add value and demand potential to these very deserving and innovative Creatives.

“CONSTRUCTED REALITY”
Despite it all, the blueprint says it all. Everything is written on the walls. It’s written all around us. It’s on and in and about everything. WE ARE NOT FREE! WE ARE NOT FREE! Anyone who doesn’t see this is a tool to further empower THEM over us! Anyone who sees this and recognizes it and yet prefers to act in ways opposite the interest of true growth and progression for Other People and People of Color…are worse than those who manipulate from behind the curtains.
❌ FREEDOM.
⭕️ REJECT ALL THAT IS! We MUST work to become FREE by loving each other. Respect each other! Appreciate each other! Uplift and SUPPORT each other!

The symbolism of this piece (and set) is to convey an artistic understanding of the current plight and situations of Black People and People of Color within America and around the world. With the central image being that of a hexagon formed into a one side-shaded cube, containing others within it, this embodies and conveys the concept of systems upon systems to develop and define reality. With the world immersed within technology, the other associated components of the piece show and indicate the prevalence of technology within life and existence…period. A background of wave shapes that are much more angular yet consistent with the perceived shape of the central cube imply a flow of control that impacts and resides within and behind all. Red meaning the urgency of the matters, the different messages and texts take their prominent places and positions as they do in reality.
Image element that conveys a message of Personal Growth that is necessary for true transformation. That transformation being into a personal capable of truly giving unto the world. This image is not downloadable.
Of course ending with the splatter of paints around and about the image edges, the white—being the original—just symbolizes the plain and basic nature of this as a component of White and White-ness within life. Red having a more urgent and prominent appearance symbolized just that—a priority of the messages no matter the decrepit state. Lastly, the Blood Red symbolizes the blood stains and blood spilled as a result of what had to be implemented.
A last and final version was done with a Gold splatter aesthetic. This image is considered a private piece only to be seen by exclusive and approved reviewers, clients and consumers. The Gold symbolizes all that was gained thru the implementation of these systems of control and oppression. Great wealth splattered over the canvas of plans and agendas to control.
*Building upon our Design Portfolio(s), this piece was developed outside of any project proposal and is regarded as a standalone piece done for and influenced by the Juneteenth Holiday. The effort behind this piece is to further encourage and inform that WE ARE NOT FREE!. As long as we continue to submit to the systems that exist around us on a daily basis within America, we are not and will not be Free.
