RED BOOK PROJECTS DRAFTING & PLANNING - 2025

RED BOOK FILES are our collection of creative and artistic ideas for internal custom project development. Some are activity-based to assist us in developing activities that will cater to our creative and operational performance while some others are small concepts to be further developed into larger commercial projects. We do not guarantee the publishing of all our ideas however for some, they’re just worth sharing included at times with explanations and inspirations.

THROUGH-LINE PROJECTS

1. The Cycle of Change: Time-Lapse of Transformation [RB-TLP-2025.03-Proposal] - Status: In Discussion.

   - Art (Sketch/Illustration/Painting): Start with a series of illustrations or paintings that show the stages of transformation, using symbols or abstract representations (like a flower blooming, a butterfly emerging, or even a decayed wall being rebuilt). These can symbolize societal change or personal growth.

   - Design: Create a clean, minimalist infographic or visual timeline showing the stages of change, using simple symbols or typography to convey the passage of time.

   - Photography: Capture the passage of time in an urban or natural environment (e.g., the changing of a street corner over months or a symbolic transformation like a rusted fence being painted over). Alternatively, photograph human subjects in various stages of transformation, whether through portraits or symbolic representations.

   - Videography: Use time-lapse videography to capture a symbolic transformation in real life, such as a protest evolving into a movement, or something more personal, like someone breaking free from societal constraints. Add in your art sketches as overlays to show the progression from art to life.

2. The Voice of the Voiceless: Amplifying Unheard Stories [RB-TLP-2025.04-Proposal] - Status: In Discussion.

   - Art (Sketch/Illustration/Painting): Create portraits or abstract representations of marginalized voices, exploring how their stories have often been silenced or overlooked. These could be portraits of community leaders, activists, or abstract depictions of their voices and struggles.

   - Design: Turn the portraits into graphic designs, using bold typography and stark colors to make their voices loud and clear. Include quotes or impactful words that represent their cause or messages.

   - Photography: Capture portraits of real people who represent the marginalized—activists, community members, or others whose stories are often overlooked. Use lighting and composition to enhance the idea of their stories being powerful and worthy of attention.

   - Videography: Create a short documentary-style video where you interview real people whose stories are often silenced, paired with visual elements from your artwork. You can use creative editing to blend the art and photography into the storytelling process.

3. Shadows of the Past: Healing through Change [RB-TLP-2025.05-Proposal] - Status: In Discussion.

   - Art (Sketch/Illustration/Painting): Illustrate the heavy shadows of history, such as the lingering effects of past injustices, racism, or systemic oppression. These can be visual metaphors, like chains or dark silhouettes, in contrast with vibrant elements representing healing or transformation.

   - Design: Create posters or designs that incorporate both the shadows and the light—perhaps a juxtaposition of muted dark colors against bright, uplifting tones to show the power of change and healing.

   - Photography: Use contrast-heavy photography to show the effect of history on present-day lives, such as urban decay or strong visual metaphors of chains, scars, or fences being overcome. Use shadows and lighting to emphasize the past’s impact on the present.

   - Videography: Create a narrative video that shows a character confronting their past and moving through the darkness towards a brighter future. Use your art pieces as symbolic elements in the video, integrating animation or stills alongside real-world footage of people overcoming adversity.

4. Bridges Over Barriers: Connecting Communities [RB-TLP-2025.06-Proposal] - Status: In Discussion.

   - Art (Sketch/Illustration/Painting): Depict visual metaphors of bridges, hands reaching out to each other, or communities coming together to form stronger bonds. These could be abstract representations, such as fragmented pieces coming together to form a whole.

   - Design: Design graphic pieces that incorporate geometric shapes or elements that represent both division and unity—such as broken lines that are gradually mended or connected through bright, flowing colors.

   - Photography: Focus on real communities coming together, whether at social justice marches, gatherings, or simple moments of connection. Capture candid shots of diverse individuals forming connections across racial, social, or cultural divides.

   - Videography: Tell a short story of two characters from different walks of life coming together to support a cause or solve a community problem. Use your art and design elements to show how connection is made visible through these moments, blending the real and the conceptual.

5. The Weight of Words: Transforming Language into Action [RB-TLP-2025.07-Proposal] - Status: In Discussion.

   - Art (Sketch/Illustration/Painting): Create works that focus on words or quotes that have sparked movements or change, but visually present them in abstract or powerful ways (e.g., turning words into visual symbols of liberation or empowerment). This could include famous speeches, quotes from activists, or meaningful mantras.

   - Design: Turn those words into graphic designs that challenge or inspire the viewer. You could use typography to make each word an image in itself—bold and strong against the backdrop of social or historical context.

   - Photography: Capture images of protests, rallies, or moments when words are transformed into action. Photograph signs or artwork in public spaces that represent calls for change, and capture the emotion tied to those words.

   - Videography: Create a short video that starts with a powerful quote and visually explores how those words are translated into actions, through scenes of people gathering, protesting, or taking a stand. Overlay art or design elements as part of the narrative, blending text and visuals seamlessly.

As we develop internal projects for activity, IP and product development, we strive to adhere to our own philosophy and mantra of “Intelligence. Ethnicity. Innovation.” The Arts are the foundation of what we do and who we are. We’re dedicated to exploring and expanding our capabilities to creating media and content that encourages and inspires all communities with a dynamic and specific focus on Communities of Color, Ethnicity and Culture. Our goal is not to take away from any community but to add to the national, international and universal identity of humanity and the greatest potential of who and what are and are to become.
