FEELING NO REMORSE!
📱: Today I received some of the GREATEST of compliments about my pursuits and diligence to make something of myself. As I take a moment to appreciate support and kind words, I must testify that the most significant and impactful of positive gestures we could ever pay to one another…is realizing the joy of another’s success without request, anticipation, encouragement or demand.
I will and forever be an advocate for those who have been less fortunate…especially those that are African American and/or have been born within America and yet have seen more setbacks and disadvantages that supported progress due to circumstances they could not and cannot control. I truly applaud those who have come from broken homes and dysfunction, a deprivation of support and natural resources such as strong family principles and values and yet make something substantial of themselves. Those who strive for better and better consciously and unconsciously. Those who choose to recognize, acknowledge and resist commercial conformity…and press on within their individuality.
African Americans will always be in a unique position. The history and legacy of America does not and has not always served African Americans and People of Color well. Many are born into poverty and unfortunate situations and circumstances…and yet…pull themselves out of situations. As success and progress comes in as many varieties as people, I’m constantly applauding those who have seen disadvantage, dysfunction and disappointment…and yet still press on.
